Saturday, September 11, 2010 - Rosemount and Eastview Competitions
8:00 A.M. Arrive at CPHS
8:00 A.M.-11:30 A.M. Rehearsal
11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.(Lunch on Own)
12:30 P.M. Load Buses/Vehicles
12:45 P.M. Depart for Rosemount
1:45 P.M. Arrive at Rosemount High School/Warm-up
3:00 P.M. Marching Rebels Step-Off @ Rosemount
3:15 P.M. Awards Ceremony at Rosemount
4:15 P.M. Depart Rosemount for Eastview High School (Students will have time to eat snacks between shows on buses)
5:00 P.M. Arrive at Eastview High School/Warm-up
6:30 P.M. Marching Rebels Step-Off @ Eastview
(Students will have time to visit concession stand for food)
8:20 P.M. Awards Ceremony at Eastview
9:00 P.M. Depart Eastview
9:45 P.M. Return to CPHS





State Fair and Home Football Game Itinerary

Hello,

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the Marching Rebels throughout band camp and also to everyone who came out to support our students at the District 11 Preview Show this past Saturday in Andover.

Here is our schedule for this Wednesday and Thursday. The band will be performing at the State Fair and CPHS Home Football Game.

Wednesday, September 1st - State Fair Parade
11:00 A.M. Students report to CPHS
11:30 A.M. Depart for State Fair
12:00 P.M. Arrive/Uniform
12:30-1:45 P.M. Warm-Up
2:00 P.M. Parade
3:00 P.M. One bus returns to CPHS (Freshman orientation is at 6:30 P.M.)
6:00 P.M. Second bus returns to CPHS

Thursday, September 2nd - Home Football Game
5:00 P.M. Students report to CPHS -Dress into Uniform
5:30 P.M. Sectional Warm-ups
6:45 P.M. Pregame in Stadium
7:00 P.M. Kick Off-Bleachers
~7:30 P.M. Halftime Performance (full field show)
9:15 P.M. Game Concludes
9:30 P.M. Clean Band Room/Dismissed

District 11 Preview Show This Saturday!

Please see the schedule and information below for this coming Saturday, August 28th. The Marching Rebels have their first performance of the season at Andover High School. Students will either need to pack food for dinner or bring $5 for the dinner provided by the Andover Band Boosters.

Fall Marching Band Kicks Off

Hello Marching Rebels Families,

This week the 2010 Marching Rebels began their season with a week long camp focused on learning our new program entitled "Canon".

All sections of the ensemble are working very hard and are on pace to be a very successful group. Thanks go out to all the parent volunteers and staff that are working hard to support our students.

We are still accepting students who would like to join the marching band. Students who would like to be a member of the colorguard can be any CPHS Studnet. Students who would like to be a member of the brass, woodwind or percussion section must be a member of the CPHS Music Department. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the marching band, please have them contact me directly at: Chad.Armbruster@anoka.k12.mn.us

Current Student Members: Please be sure that you have taken care of your registration and fee obligations by no later than this coming week. The CPBA will be providing your dinner each day this week for a total of $20. This payment can be submitted to the band box on Monday. Be sure to place your cash or check made out to CPBA in an envelope with your name on it.

Peach Sale

Start taking orders for your peaches now!

Hi Marching Rebel students and parents. I have just gotten word from our peach grower that we should start taking orders now for delivery in early September. For those of you who have not sold peaches before, these are immensely profitable and popular.

We are offering the peaches for $18 for each full case or $10 for each half case. The grower charges us $10.25 per case. The difference goes into your band account so there is ample opportunity to cover a lot of your band expenses with the sale of these delicious peaches.

We have a very short ordering window with next week being all day Band Camp. Take advantage of this opportunity over the weekend. Note that the attached order form has a “turn in by” date of 9/1. This is the date I have requested for order turn-in so I can call the grower with our order. This date has been confirmed with our grower and no late orders will be accepted. Please collect money as you take orders since we will have to pay for the peaches on delivery.

I will keep you updated and will be finalizing dates for delivery with the grower within the next few days.
